We’re excited that you’re joining us for Ingenuity 2010—the first of many great events by The New York Venture Capital Association that bring together the entrepreneur and investment communities.

This powerhouse conference unites world-class investors and entrepreneurs for two days of innovation, strategy and networking—including a series of six minute presentations by early and late-state pre-screened entrepreneurs, keynote addresses from industry leaders, and networking cocktail receptions.

We’re rented 25,000 square feet of event space in the heart of SoHo at 82 Mercer. Aside from the two session rooms for the early and late stage sessions and a main session room, there will be a 10,000 square foot networking lounge straight out of a Hollywood set—leather couches and chairs, lounge style seating, highboy tables and other creature comforts to facilitate a private one-on-one meeting or small group networking, take a phone call or grab a quick snack.

Many of our sponsors will also be exhibiting at Ingenuity, giving you the opportunity to network with companies that can help you grow your brand and your business.

One of our sponsors, SecondMarket, will be debuting their SimX application, which is the first simulated stock exchange for start-ups. You can buy and sell virtual shares in the companies presenting on stage. If you think a company has a bright future, buy shares in it. If you think the company is nothing but vaporware—sell, sell, sell. The person with the most shares in the company with the highest price wins a prize, which will be given out at the conclusion of the conference.

The conference kicks off on Wednesday evening and concludes Thursday with cocktails and hors
d’ oeuvres, great conversation, and myriad opportunities to mix, mingle and make deals.

We are excited about Ingenuity, and we can’t wait to see you there.
